MA RA TH ON 

When the COVID-19 pandemic locked down the world during the spring of 2020 we witnessed every running event in the world be postponed or cancelled. Running is in our DNA. So when we can’t have running events we don’t just sit back. Instead, we organized one of the largest digital marathon events the world has ever seen. Together with our partners NN Group and Maurten we organized a digital revolution that saw over 100.000 people take to the streets to run a marathon relay event. MA RA TH ON was born. Participants from all over the world were grouped in teams of 4 and tracked their race on Strava. Each running a quarter distance of the marathon with their combined times added to the overall leaderboard. To make it even better. NN Running Team legends such as Eliud Kipchoge, Kenenisa Bekele and Geoffrey Kamworor were added to random teams giving fans the chance to experience what it’s like to be teammates with the best in the world.
